Chocolate Mummy Tart
Ingredients:
12 Tenderflake Tart Shells (1, 255g package)
1 pkg (240g) chocolate cake mix
200g vanilla frosting in piping bag fitted w/ basketweave decorating tip
Small amount vanilla frosting in piping bag fitted w/ small round decorating tip
24 yellow candy-coated chocolates (round candies)
24 blue candy-coated chocolate teenys (colour optional)
Method:
Step 1 – Mix
• Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare the chocolate cake mix as per package directions in a medium bowl.
Step 2 – Bake
• Spoon the cake mixture evenly into each Tenderflake Tart, filling to just below the rim.
• Place Tenderflake tart shells on a rimmed baking sheet and bake as per cake package instructions (for 12 cupcakes)
• Cool thoroughly
Step 3 – Decorate!
• Insert vanilla frosting in piping bag fitted w/ basketweave decorating tip
• Pipe long overlapping bands of frosting across mummy’s face using smooth side of basketweave tip. Leave space for eyes, as shown.
• Press on candy-coated chocolates for eyeballs and candy-coated chocolate teenys for pupils, using dots of vanilla frosting to make the candies stick. Repeat for remaining tarts.
• Arrange on a platter and serve to your Halloween guests.
